Video is the medium of which I work, in this I perform with my body. I incorporate my video’s in Site Specific installations, besides this my video’s have developed into Live-Performances.

In my work I play with boundaries between the public and privet.
I am intrigued by the contradictions and conflicts in relations trough media like video and photography, right trough the eye of the lens.
I place the way of showing our physicality in a new context, in this way I confront the spectator with his viewing habits. ‘Who is observing who, By what images are we seduced?’; These are questions I investigate.

On the one hand, the system is ‘open’: if I turn on myself I make myself vulnerable, make myself available to a viewer.
On the other hand, the system is ‘closed’: if I both start and end the action, I’m circling myself up in myself, I’ve turned myself into a self-enclosed object: The viewer is left outside, the viewer is put in a position of a voyeur.

For the project FLAT_land l want to do an investigation in contradictions. My space is in the cellar of the flat building. This is a dark unpleasant space opposite the light houses. In my work I create an intimate relation with this space and I try to bring some softness into this cellar.
